How MatureMeet keeps you safe
- Selfie check: every member takes a selfie that we match to their photos, so the person in the pictures is the person you talk to.
- Phone check: every member confirms a phone number before they can message.
- Optional ID badge: members can add a photo ID check for extra trust.
- Reverse image check: new profile photos are compared with known scam pictures and other accounts.
- Scam shield: messages are checked for money requests and other red flags, with a warning before you reply.
- One-tap report and block, on every profile and in every conversation.
- A safety team that reviews reports, and a 2 hour review for VIP Concierge members.
The scam shield, explained
Romance scammers use the same scripts again and again. The scam shield looks for them in messages you receive and shows a clear warning. It looks for:
- requests for money, loans or help with a fee,
- gift cards, crypto, wire transfers or payment apps,
- pressure to move to another app, text or email very early,
- stories about working on an oil rig, serving overseas in the army or being stuck abroad,
- sudden emergencies, hospital bills or customs fees,
- rushing you, with big promises of love after a few days.
A warning is not a judgment. It is a pause button, so you can think before you reply.
Careful. This message asks you to move to another app and mentions money. Scammers often do both. Never send money or gift cards to someone you have not met.

It can be, if you choose a site that verifies members and you follow simple rules: keep talking on the site, never send money, video chat first and meet in public.
How do I know someone is real?
On MatureMeet every member passes a selfie and phone check before they can message. Ask for a video call before you meet. A real person will not keep finding excuses.
What happens when I report someone?
Our safety team reviews the report and the conversation. If the person broke our rules, we remove them. They are not told who reported them.
